This 15-Year Old Basketball Player On Same Path As Lebron James

One of his dunks landed on top spot on ESPN Sportscenter. His video has generated more than 11.5 million views on Youtube. He also had an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live’ television show and it was all before the age of 16. It all couldn’t be better for a kid named Seventh Woods on the same path as Lebron James did when he was the same age.

Seventh Woods is on the same path and limelight of stars ahead of him such as Lebron James and the number one and two picks this year in the 2014 NBA draft. Everyone knows his dunks are ridiculous and his ball handling skills are exceptional, but questions still hover if he can be one of the great ones in the NBA. Scouts question the 6’1″ rising star’s leadership abilities as a point guard. The lack of being vocal as a point guard is crucial. It is like a captain on a ship instructing his crew mates into the abyss of the atlantic ocean. So does Woods have it in him to be this type of leader? Yeah, his first step is probably one of the best ever and his jumping abilities is never questioned. Especially one time getting a concussion due to hitting his head on the rim while trying to dunk.

The hits of being in the limelight at such a young age is dealing with all of the scrutiny from being such an elite athlete. Scouts and all other professionals are now picking his game apart from head to toe. Wanting to see if he is indeed going to be what is all said about him. They want to see more in what he can do, even at a young age like this.

“His dunks are unbelievable,” an instructor at the NBA Top 100 camp in Charlottesville, Virginia, said last month. “But as a point guard? He’s just OK. He’s got a long way to go.”

“There’s no pressure on me,” Woods told Bleacher Report. “I just have to go out there and do my best. People expect to see what they saw on that mixtape, but I’ve just got to play my game.”

Mixtapes are one thing, but working your behind off against the best basketball players on the planet in the NBA is a little different story. Talent can only go so far.
