According to multiple sources, a “hand shake” deal has been in place to move the number one overall pick Andrew Wiggins to Minnesota for All-Star power forward Kevin love’. The dreams and hops of Wiggins playing alongside the best player in the NBA Lebron James, will have to be put to rest for the time being. The Kansas Jayhawk star has mentioned he just wants to play wherever the team that wants him the most. And maybe apparently at this point, it is not the Cleveland Cavs.
“The deal is done but not done,” Windhorst said. “The teams have agreed but can’t say they’ve agreed because we’re in this weird moratorium period. Between now and then could a team come in with a trade that Minnesota doesn’t see? Yes, so it’s not done. But there is this handshake agreement.”

Andrew Wiggins can not be traded until August 24th due to restrictions in rookie contracts in the NBA. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, who is the top notch reliable source of any deal going down in the NBA says,”there is a third team involved in this blockbuster deal having Wiggins going to Minnesota, Anthony Bennett the Cavs number overall pick in 2013 would be going to Philadelphia and forward Thadeus going to Minnesota as well. This is what Wiggins recently said to ESPN about the whole fiasco going on.
“I just want to play for a team that wants me. So whichever team wants me I’ll play for.” Wiggins was then asked if he’s taking all these talks of him being traded “Personal,” Wiggins replied with, “At the end of the day you have to remember that the NBA is a business before anything. I’m a rookie. I really don’t have too much say,” he said.
Most of the reporting world in the NBA believe it is just a matter of time before this blockbuster deal happens. It is heard Lebron James wants to be paired up with an established player versus a rookie. Knowingly, because he is chasing after MJ’s total in championship rings. From this point on we all just have to sit back and see when the deal is set in stone. Here is an exact recap on why Wiggins was chosen #1 overall. Here is his hidden high school highlight video.
